Happy 5 Minute Vacation Day!

Sometimes, to relax, I play little games with myself. If I want a 30 minute nap, I’ll set the timer for 20 minutes, and then luxuriate when I wake up… as I realize I have more time.

The notion, “I don’t have time,” isn’t usually the factual truth. Most often, most people have 5 actual minutes in a day to make that call, return that message, do that 1 pull-up, ask for that favor, drink that glass of water, and yes, go on vacation… even for 5 minutes.

“I don’t have time,” usually means, “This isn’t my priority.” We all prioritize some things over others.

What do you tell yourself you don’t have time for, and why?

Are these things you are putting off because you think you don’t deserve them, are avoiding them, wish you hadn’t said yes to them, are gaining courage to say yes to them, think they’re not going to make a difference when they will?

Today, shuffle your deck to reflect the priorities you most want to be living.

Then, head over to the shuffleboard deck…it’s 5 Minute Vacation Day!

How will you enjoy your 5 Minute Vacation today?
