Humorous Habits of Humans: In Action vs Inaction

--

Step 1:

I stop taking action for Some Reason. I become upset with myself, as I am not taking action. Then, I don’t take action because, clearly, I am not a person who acts — according to my personal data about myself. Funny! (Not-so-funny!)

Step 2:

I move back into motion hearing the victorious tale of Someone Inspiring. They rose above their High Quality Quagmire That Turned Out to Be a Blessing long enough to create their motivational program/talk/soundbite. I listen; it’s almost as if it was made for me. Buoyed, I make a high energy promise, with tears in my eyes and an anthem in my heart. I act for 24 hours. 72 hours later, I act like I still am acting. Within a week, I have stopped taking action for Some Reason, nodding off with a lullaby in my heart. Funny! (Not-so-funny!)

Step 3: Return to Step 1.

“In Action” and “Inaction” contain the same 8 alphabetical ingredients… in the same order. How do we protect the crucial space between the N and the A? When they get together, nothing’s doing, n/a, not applicable to progress. Funny! (Not-so-funny!)

Was this post…made for you today…to revisit, revamp, and recycle your Reasons for stopping?

Act now and you could become Someone Inspiring for someone who stopped. By hearing how you got back up today and walked your talk, they may walk again, talk anew, and become Someone Inspiring for someone else who will stop tomorrow — and so on. The people who will stop next Thursday need you to act today! Funny! (Not-so-funny!)
